FAO of the United Nations – An international day celebrated every year worldwide to commemorate the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, World Food Day adopts a different theme each year in order to highlight areas needed for action and provide a common focus.
Covering the majority of the Earth’s surface, making up over 50% of our bodies, producing our food, and supporting our livelihoods, this year’s theme is “Water,” essential to life on Earth.
