All types of mining can be environmentally-dangerous, with the very idea of mining itself being environmentally invasive, with cobalt mining being associated with dangerous workers’ exploitation and other serious environmental and social issues. Although many people proclaim the importance of a sustainable future and greener initiatives, the reality is that sustainability is not always equitable and often comes with negative impacts including environmental damage.
